Salesforce Marketing Cloud – Functional Application Architect (Salesforce Marketing Cloud)

Location: Westminster, Colorado, United States. Minimal travel may be required for global team collaboration.

Salary: $170,600–$234,600 per year, plus bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Design and architect enterprise Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, and Contact Builder.
• Translate business epics and requirements into technical blueprints, reusable functional designs, and user stories for agile delivery teams.
• Govern marketing data models, segmentation frameworks, and integration flows between Marketing Cloud, enterprise CRMs, and external platforms.
• Connect global domain owners, solution architects, and marketing stakeholders across multiple time zones.
• Guide campaign orchestration, data compliance, platform best practices, system health, and performance optimization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in the Salesforce ecosystem, with a dedicated focus on architecting Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions.
• Expertise in Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, and Contact Builder.
• Experience translating complex business requirements into scalable functional designs and data models.
• Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams in an agile environment using Jira and Confluence.
• Strong understanding of marketing data flows, integration strategies, GDPR, and CCPA privacy requirements.

Nice to have

• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant or Architect certification.
• Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, advanced segmentation, and Einstein AI features.
• Familiarity with AMPscript, SQL, and multi-channel campaigns across email, SMS, push, and web.
