Salesforce Data Architect (Salesforce)

Location: Vienna, VA, USA. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required; must be eligible for Public Trust (Tier 2 / MBI) security clearance.

Salary: $160,000–$170,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, extend, and optimize Salesforce data models, including custom objects, relationships, record types, field configurations, and storage patterns.
• Lead source-system profiling, field mapping, ETL development, cleansing, transformation, phased migration, and reconciliation activities.
• Build API-led MuleSoft integrations across System, Process, and Experience API layers using DataWeave and CloudHub or Runtime Fabric.
• Configure Salesforce Data 360 semantic models, business metrics, calculated fields, and data pipelines for analytics and natural-language querying.
• Develop Salesforce Flows and Flow Orchestrations, Apex classes and triggers, Lightning Web Components, and SOQL/SOSL queries.
• Implement data-quality validation, governance, compliance reporting, and legacy-data retention support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional Salesforce development experience with Flows, Apex, LWC, and SOQL, including at least 2 years in data architecture, data modeling, or large-scale Salesforce migration.
• Required hands-on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform experience, including API design, Mule flows, DataWeave, and CloudHub or Runtime Fabric deployment on a delivered engagement.
• Required hands-on Salesforce Data 360 experience configuring semantic models, business metrics, or data pipelines on a delivered project.
• Deep Salesforce data-model expertise, including standard and custom objects, relationships, data limits, Data Loader, Bulk API, Metadata API, and import/export patterns.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification, at least one additional relevant certification, and eligibility for Public Trust clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Salesforce Data Architect, Integration Architect, MuleSoft Developer, or MuleSoft Integration Architect certification.
• Salesforce Public Sector Solutions Grants Management, OmniStudio, CRM Analytics, or Tableau Next experience.
• Agentforce or Einstein AI experience, including data grounding, retrieval-augmented generation, or AI data preparation.
• FedRAMP compliance experience or previous federal government Salesforce contract work.
