Manager, Production-Assembly Finish (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: Blythewood, South Carolina, United States; onsite 4–5 days per week with regular in-person meetings and occasional travel.

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Lead an assembly team in achieving safety, quality, delivery, cost, profitability, customer service, and employee-morale objectives.
• Support production processes and implement Scout’s Production System standards using lean principles.
• Lead assembly and designated production areas from development and pre-series builds through start of production for new models.
• Review daily KPIs, lead root-cause analysis, drive problem solving, and eliminate waste across operations.
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, industrial engineering, programming, logistics, and plant leadership.
• Drive launch activities, cost improvements, quality and product-safety initiatives, change management, coaching, and workforce engagement.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in automotive assembly and Finish/End-of-Line operations with maintenance responsibilities.
• At least 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, automotive technology, manufacturing, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may substitute.
• Experience with wheel alignment, roll booth, water testing, ADAS commissioning, assembly tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Strong knowledge of TPS, VPS, lean manufacturing, pre-series builds, automotive production, process systems, quality systems, throughput, and standardization.
• Experience managing maintenance teams and coordinating repair activities; ability to work any shift and support overtime.
