TL;DR
Group Leader, General Assembly (Automotive): Overseeing daily general assembly operations for automotive Trim, Chassis, or Final Line production with an accent on safety, quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. Focus on leading production teams, optimizing workflows, implementing lean manufacturing initiatives, and improving KPIs such as OEE, scrap rate, downtime, and labor efficiency.

Location: Warsaw Manufacturing Site. Applicants must be authorized to work permanently in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $108,877–$163,316 annual base pay

What you will do

  • Oversee daily assembly operations for automotive Trim, Chassis, or Final Line production.
  • Monitor production schedules, adjust resources, and resolve workflow bottlenecks with planning, logistics, and engineering teams.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders and Team Members while managing performance and staffing levels.
  • Enforce OSHA, environmental, workplace safety, and product safety standards through audits and risk assessments.
  • Ensure quality compliance, address non-conformances, and implement corrective actions with Quality Assurance.
  • Drive lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, and KPI improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, 6 years with a Master's degree, 3 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Strong knowledge of trim line processes and automotive interior components.
  • Experience with Just-In-Time manufacturing, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ERP systems.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production planning software.
