Business Operations Manager (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA; in person at the San Francisco headquarters 5 days a week, with one company-wide remote week per month

Salary: $175,000–$300,000 USD per year, plus equity and competitive benefits

What you will do

• Own operational problems from 0 to 1 and turn them into solved, repeatable processes.
• Manage recurring operations including customer contracts, recruiting initiatives, immigration logistics, and vendor negotiations.
• Lead strategic projects that advance the organization as it scales.
• Reduce administrative overhead for the broader team through hands-on operational execution.
• Develop a working understanding of machine learning and interpretability as needed to support the business.

Requirements

• 4–6+ years of experience in operations, business operations, or a generalist role at an early-stage startup.
• Experience operating through rapid company scaling and anticipating operational issues.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work at a fast pace without letting tasks slip.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills, including the ability to translate between technical and non-technical teams.
• Technical background strongly preferred, such as a computer science degree, engineering experience, or demonstrated fluency from working in technical environments.
• Ability to work in person at the San Francisco headquarters 5 days per week, except for the company-wide remote week each month.
