Company

hirify.global develops commercially deployed humanoid robots for warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers.

What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end electrical system architecture for humanoid robotics platforms, integrating perception, compute, actuation, control, and safety systems.
  • Provide technical direction to architects and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Lead architecture reviews and trade studies balancing performance, functional safety, complexity, manufacturability, cost, and reliability.
  • Partner with software, controls, simulation, systems engineering, test, and integration teams to align architecture with modeling, validation, and traceable requirements.
  • Guide the evolution of robotic product architecture using user needs, field performance, and R&D findings.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of robotics hardware development experience, including at least 3 years leading electrical product development or working as a lead engineer.
  • 5+ years of electrical system design experience covering actuator development, power systems, PCBA design, component selection, and layout.
  • 3+ years of firmware development experience from bare-metal systems through network integration.
  • Deep knowledge of robotic system design, actuator and transmission design, electrical engineering, robot kinematics, dynamics, controls, and system modeling.
  • Experience delivering complex electromechanical robotic systems from ideation through production and commercial or field deployment.
  • Familiarity with functional safety, product FuSa certifications, FMEA/FMECA, and hazard analysis.

Nice to have

  • Experience architecting humanoid, legged mobility, mobile manipulation, or high-DOF automation platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with perception pipelines, real-time control systems, and safety-rated architectures.
  • Experience with Altium, Windchill or similar ERP systems, GitHub, MuJoCo, Gazebo, or equivalent simulation tools.
  • Familiarity with AI and reinforcement learning for robotic learning and control.
  • Advanced degree in robotics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related field; experience mentoring engineers.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time employment with a 6% 401(k) company match and company stock options.
  • Company-paid medical, dental, vision, and short- and long-term disability insurance from the first day.
  • Paid parental leave, paid time off, company holidays, and a winter shutdown.
  • Professional development and tuition reimbursement programs.
  • Relocation assistance and an annual discretionary bonus for eligible roles.
  • Flexible work arrangements and catered lunches at the Salem and Pittsburgh locations.
