CNC Machinist (Mill & Lathe)

What you will do

• Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes, including live tooling and multi-axis operations.
• Develop and optimize G-code and CAM-generated programs for complex geometries and tight tolerances.
• Execute first-article builds, prove-outs, rapid prototypes, and low-volume production runs.
• Design, fabricate, and iterate custom fixtures and workholding solutions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and design engineers on DFM, process improvements, and engineering experiments.
• Reduce setup time, scrap, rework, and cycle time while transitioning R&D processes into stable production workflows.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 7+ years of CNC machining experience in a mill/lathe environment.
• Strong live tooling programming experience and proven ability to program and run complex multi-axis parts.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and basic shop math.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems efficiently, and collaborate with engineering and production teams.
• Ability to stand, lift, and carry equipment up to 50 lbs unassisted, and work required shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.

Nice to have

• Advanced CAM experience with Mastercam, Fusion, NX, or equivalent.
• Experience supporting production ramp-ups from prototype to volume.
• Background in aerospace, energy, advanced manufacturing, or precision components.
• Experience improving tooling designs, processes, and part manufacturability.
