Hardware Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Full-time, onsite in Menlo Park, California, United States

Salary: $96,000 base salary annually, plus bonus, stock options, and benefits.

What you will do

• Assemble electromechanical assemblies, cable harnesses, and electronic hardware using engineering drawings, work instructions, and bills of materials.
• Support prototype builds, engineering experiments, production hardware builds, hardware bring-up, testing, troubleshooting, and system integration.
• Perform soldering, cable fabrication, mechanical assembly, PCB rework, and hardware repairs.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and basic machine tools to fabricate or modify parts and fixtures.
• Inspect hardware, verify quality and configuration requirements, and document build issues.
• Maintain laboratories, production areas, tooling, and inventory while supporting field returns and hardware maintenance.

Requirements

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience assembling complex electromechanical or electronic hardware.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and bills of materials.
• Strong soldering, cable assembly, mechanical assembly, and hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and standard shop equipment.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. personnel security clearance and required ITAR authorizations.

Nice to have

• Prototype hardware development, PCB rework, and fine-pitch soldering experience.
• Familiarity with Arena PLM and NetSuite ERP systems.
• Experience operating drill presses, band saws, belt sanders, and other fabrication equipment.
• IPC certification or equivalent electronics manufacturing experience.
• Experience with aerospace, defense, robotics, or industrial hardware programs.
