Core Robotics Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States. International travel required for onboarding and collaboration with teams in Germany, for up to 2–3 months.

Base salary: USD 125,000–260,000 per year, depending on skills, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Develop, test, and deploy software for robotic systems, focusing on motion planning, perception, and control.
• Design algorithms for path planning, trajectory optimization, and collision avoidance.
• Implement sensor fusion, localization, and mapping systems using cameras, LiDAR, and depth sensors.
• Integrate robotic arms, grippers, sensors, and other hardware with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Use ROS 2 for real-time communication and modular robotics software.
• Optimize and troubleshoot robotics systems for reliable real-time operation in production environments, including machine learning methods for task execution.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing robotic systems or automation platforms.
• Strong experience with ROS 2, Isaac Sim, and robotics simulation environments.
• Experience with perception systems, including cameras, LiDAR, and depth sensors.
• Proficiency in Python and C++.
• Knowledge of robotic manipulators, vision systems, motion control, kinematics, dynamics, and system modeling.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally for onboarding and collaboration, for up to 2–3 months.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
