Senior Electrical Engineer (RFID)

Location: Hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week in the Holtsville, NY or Germantown, MD office

Salary: $96,800–$145,200 annual, plus a target performance-based annual cash incentive equal to 10% of base pay

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, simulate, test, and validate electronic circuits for existing and new RFID handheld products from concept through production release.
• Establish requirements and complete electrical design activities including power supply analysis, circuit design, thermal analysis, schematic capture, PCB layout support, and validation.
• Research and implement AI and ML techniques to improve electrical engineering design, testing, system optimization, and productivity.
• Drive EMI/EMC troubleshooting and product-level validation, as well as system-level issue debugging with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Develop electrical lab capabilities and collaborate on test strategies and new technology capabilities.
• Work with RF, antenna, mechanical, software, systems test, JDM, and CM partners to bring products to market.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 4+ years of experience, or a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of experience.
• Experience with analog and digital circuit design, memory design, and signal integrity.
• Experience generating schematics using Cadence Allegro or similar schematic-capture software and supporting PCB layout.
• Experience working with internal cross-functional teams and external JDMs/CMs to bring RFID products to market.
• Experience with embedded microprocessors or microcontrollers, including associated SDRAM and flash memory.

Nice to have

• Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RF, PSPICE, FPGA, C, VHDL, or Verilog experience.
• Knowledge of RF compliance requirements and mitigation of EMI, ESD, and immunity issues.
• Knowledge of USB, Ethernet, serial, audio, and video interfaces.
