DDI Engineer - Infoblox

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; hybrid schedule with office presence required

Salary: $108,900–$147,300 annual base salary, with potential discretionary bonus and stock awards depending on role eligibility.

What you will do

• Build, operate, and maintain the Infoblox DDI platform supporting the DDI initiative.
• Implement monitoring pipelines for platform health, observability, and availability.
• Automate DDI workflows for provisioning, cleanup, and compliance enforcement.
• Troubleshoot complex DNS, DHCP, and IPAM incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
• Create documentation and runbooks for first-line support teams.
• Participate in a 24x7 tier 3 on-call rotation and support vulnerability and information security compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Production experience deploying and operating a DDI platform from an industry-leading vendor.
• Experience integrating multiple services with a DDI platform in an enterprise architecture.
• Strong knowledge of DNS protocols, DHCP lease management, and IPv4/IPv6 IPAM hierarchy.
• Understanding of CMDB, ITIL, network protocols, security, and scripting in Python or Go.

Nice to have

• Experience with highly available on-premises and cloud production services.
• ServiceNow API and workflow integration experience.
• Familiarity with GitHub, Jira, BGP, anycast, NetBox, Kubernetes, public or private cloud platforms, network discovery, ISC BIND, DHCP/KEA, and Jenkins.
• Experience managing capacity of publicly routable address space.
