Senior/ Staff Front-End CAD Engineer

Location: Israel

Develops semiconductor-based connectivity solutions and software for rack-scale AI infrastructure, integrating CXL, Ethernet, NVLink, PCIe, and UALink technologies.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and optimize RTL generation tools, automated IP, and SoC design flows.
• Build Python and Tcl applications for model builds, regression, analysis, and front-end engineering support.
• Evaluate and integrate EDA tools from Cadence, Synopsys, and Mentor Graphics.
• Define usage methodologies and integrate AI tools across VLSI development flows.
• Improve design-team productivity and time-to-market for next-generation processors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of hands-on professional experience in relevant industries.
• Proven Python and Tcl experience in a Linux/Unix environment.
• Knowledge of Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.
• Very good communication skills.
• Understanding of the VLSI design cycle, including clock-domain crossing, simulation, debugging, synthesis, and timing analysis.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with industry-standard lint, synthesis, and simulation tools.
• Experience with Git and compute cluster management using LSF or SGE.
