Test Maintenance Engineer (Optical Transceivers)

What you will do

• Set up, install, calibrate, qualify, and correlate optical transceiver test systems for 800G and 1.6T products.
• Maintain tester hardware, fixtures, and optical/electrical instrumentation to maximize uptime and minimize production downtime.
• Plan and execute Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility studies and implement statistical process control to monitor measurement accuracy and tester performance.
• Troubleshoot tester failures and false rejects, lead root-cause investigations, and drive equipment reliability improvements.
• Manage spare parts, calibration schedules, preventive maintenance plans, and equipment health metrics including MTBF and MTTR.
• Collaborate with process and product engineering, contract manufacturers, equipment suppliers, and quality teams on NPI, capacity expansion, upgrades, and change control.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field, plus relevant experience in optical transceiver testing and equipment maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with optical transceiver test equipment such as BERT/error detectors, optical power meters, TOSA/ROSA/module test stations, and environmental chambers.
• Experience with GR&R studies, SPC, statistical data analysis, and measurement system validation.
• Strong troubleshooting, automation, analytical, and root-cause problem-solving skills in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of quality management systems and applicable quality standards, including documented change control.
• Good command of English is required for verbal and written communication, including presentations. International travel is required.
