Principal HW Development Engineer (Optical Modules)

What you will do

• Validate 1.6T optical module hardware using oscilloscopes, BERTs, VNAs, and optical spectrum analyzers.
• Perform root-cause analysis and debug hardware issues during bring-up and testing.
• Verify compliance with IEEE 802.3, OIF, and MSA specifications.
• Evaluate and qualify lasers, modulators, drivers, TIAs, DSPs, and other critical components with suppliers.
• Support manufacturing, test development, and reliability validation for new product introduction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related testing discipline.
• Hands-on experience with high-speed measurements and hardware debugging.
• Knowledge of optical communication components and modulation formats including NRZ, PAM4, and QAM.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
