Failure Analysis Engineer (Optoelectronics)

What you will do

• Troubleshoot electronic circuits and individual PCB components to identify faults, failures, and performance issues.
• Inspect PCBs and transceiver modules for soldering, component placement, and physical defects.
• Perform optical, electrical, and mechanical failure analysis to determine root causes.
• Use oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers, optical spectrometers, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Repair and rework PCBs and transceiver modules through soldering, desoldering, component replacement, and validation testing.
• Analyze manufacturing and test data, prepare technical reports, and implement corrective and preventive actions with Quality teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of test engineering experience with a bachelor's degree, or 3 years with a master's degree, in optoelectronic devices, optical transceivers or transponders, or fiber-optic communications.
• Proficiency with statistical and data analysis tools such as Minitab, JMP, SQL, or Python.
• Strong understanding of circuit diagrams and electronic components.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, technical writing, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills required.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules and travel internationally occasionally.
