Salary: $100,000–$135,000 per year, plus stock and benefits.

hirify.global is a rapidly growing startup developing custom automation robotics systems for picking and packing groceries and other consumables, with a focus on reducing food-supply-chain waste and emissions.

What you will do

  • Support safety and compliance activities across the full life cycle of automated equipment.
  • Interface with NRTL and other external certification agencies, define applicable standards, and coordinate testing.
  • Develop functional safety architectures and review machinery plans and specifications for operator safety.
  • Perform risk assessments and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct hazards.
  • Implement safety systems and conduct on-site equipment safety testing and validation at new deployment sites.
  • Prepare equipment safety manuals for customers in collaboration with operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a hardware-related engineering discipline such as electrical, mechanical, industrial, process, or manufacturing engineering.
  • 1–5 years of experience in automation and interaction with safety system design.
  • Basic understanding of engineering safety principles and UL, ANSI, and ISO standards.
  • Hands-on ability to implement and troubleshoot safety systems.
  • Strong technical documentation skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience developing and certifying capital equipment to UL, ANSI, or ISO standards with external certification authorities.
  • Functional or machine safety certifications such as CEFS or CMSE.
  • Experience managing engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and Git.
  • Interest in working with robots.
