People Ops Specialist (Contract)

Location: Seoul office; hybrid work with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Manage onboarding, offboarding, and contracting processes across APAC using local guidelines, checklists, tools, and databases.
• Maintain accurate HRIS data for the region.
• Coordinate employee Day 1 setup, including software, hardware, access, onboarding plans, and new-hire communication.
• Respond to compliance and regulatory cases involving leave, insurance, and PTO policies, escalating when needed.
• Support global People Programs, workplace and IT operations, and employee events across APAC.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in People Operations, HR, or a related field.
• Strong communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to handle sensitive conversations.
• Ability to prioritize unexpected requests and execute independently in a fast-moving environment.
• Curiosity about AI and automation, with the ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Based in Seoul and available for hybrid in-office work at least 3 days per week.
• Basic written English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working across multiple legal entities or countries.
• Experience in high-volume, client-facing environments such as People Services or Customer Support.
• Experience in a startup or high-growth company.
