Category Manager – Semiconductor Materials

What you will do

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for wafers, photoresists, CMP slurries, specialty gases, chemicals, and other semiconductor materials.
• Identify, qualify, and manage strategic suppliers in line with technology roadmaps, quality standards, and production requirements.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms while securing reliable supply and meeting cost targets.
• Monitor material markets, supplier performance, pricing trends, and supply chain risks; develop mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with R&D, process engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams on material requirements and new product introductions.
• Drive cost optimization, supplier development, procurement performance management, and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, physics, materials science, business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in semiconductors, electronics, or advanced manufacturing.
• Experience negotiating contracts, managing suppliers, and driving cost optimization initiatives.
• Understanding of semiconductor materials and processes, including wafers, specialty gases, chemicals, photoresists, lithography, etching, and metallization materials.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including experience with ERP/procurement systems and data analysis tools.
• Fluent English required.
