Manufacturing Test Infrastructure Lead (Energy Storage) (battery manufacturing and electromechanical products): Designing and deploying functional and end-of-line testers for electromechanical energy storage products with an accent on high-voltage systems, manufacturing validation, and cross-disciplinary engineering. Focus on leading tester development, building scalable test automation and infrastructure, debugging manufacturing issues, and managing mechanical, electrical, and software engineering scopes.

Salary: $175,000–$275,000 USD per year

What you will do

  • Lead end-to-end development of functional and end-of-line testers for electromechanical products.
  • Manage a small team of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.
  • Collaborate with firmware and hardware teams to define test coverage, metrics, and manufacturing test features.
  • Design manufacturing test hardware, including functional and system power testing.
  • Lead tester builds and validation activities, including GRR and SAT.
  • Develop test automation, self-test capabilities, and data analysis with firmware and software teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of technical experience in manufacturing test engineering or a related role.
  • 2+ years of people management experience.
  • Experience with high-voltage systems, including 400–2000 VDC and 480–800 VAC.
  • Technical expertise in at least one area of test engineering and the ability to work across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing and with battery testers or characterization tools.

Nice to have

  • Experience developing scalable tools, infrastructure, and design practices for test engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including engagement with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
