What you will do

  • Design and commission test assets and systems for new and enhanced production testing capabilities.
  • Manage a team of test engineers supporting Vehicle Integration and Test activities across major vehicle products.
  • Author and optimize test sequences, plans, procedures, and operational processes for first-article development and high-volume production.
  • Analyze test data, disposition recurring discrepancies, and lead multidisciplinary root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Define standardized processes that improve safety, data quality, and test repeatability.
  • Provide hands-on shop-floor support and feedback for design for manufacturability, testability, and reparability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of relevant technical experience with complex high-pressure pneumatic and high-voltage electrical systems.
  • Experience authoring and executing test plans, pneumatic leak checks, sensor checkouts, high-voltage electrical checkouts, and integrated system testing.
  • Experience designing and commissioning pneumatic and electrical test equipment.
  • Experience leading failure and anomaly investigations, resolving non-conformances, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of fluid, thermal, mechanical, and electrical engineering fundamentals, safety standards, test hazards, and mitigations.

Nice to have

  • Experience in fast-paced lean environments, direct vendor engagement, tool development, or leading small teams through ambiguous build or test efforts.
  • Familiarity with SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-1540D, or MIL-STD-810G.
  • Knowledge of launch vehicle components such as regulators, check valves, orifices, and electromechanical or pneumatically actuated valves.
  • Experience with test automation, data acquisition and control systems, and electrical or pneumatic test equipment.
