Production Systems/Test Engineer

Location: Onsite at the Santa Clara, California office

Salary: $119,200–$178,800 per year, with a midpoint of $149,000; geographic differentials may apply.

What you will do

• Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting of complex electro-mechanical and optical end-of-line systems using data analysis and MES tools.
• Support the production floor by resolving manufacturing issues, driving corrective actions, and preventing recurrence.
• Partner with Design, Systems, Quality, Supply Chain, and production teams to implement process improvements.
• Build and maintain KPI dashboards to track manufacturing performance and identify trends.
• Lead Product Validation Testing for new products and develop robust, repeatable, scalable bring-up and end-of-line test processes.
• Convert technical findings into work instructions, process documentation, and corrective action plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering; a hardware and software background is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience with complex electro-mechanical, optical, or integrated systems.
• Experience with structured root cause analysis methods such as 8D, 5-Why, or Fishbone.
• Experience creating KPI dashboards and using statistical tools to identify trends and improve processes.
• Strong technical communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with UV lasers, high-end optics, or complex fluid systems.
• Experience in additive manufacturing or 3D printing production.
• Experience scripting for manufacturing data analysis and visualization, including Splunk or Quickbase.
• Experience with Python.
