Enterprise Platform Product Counsel (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own legal strategy for assigned enterprise platform products from ideation and launch through production support, sunset, or migration.
• Partner with product, technology, implementation, sales, compliance, privacy, security, and business stakeholders.
• Advise on SaaS, hosted, on-premise, and other deployment models, including data flows, hosting geography, and third-party dependencies.
• Develop and maintain contracting architecture covering terms and conditions, orders, solution terms, pricing attachments, specifications, support policies, and related documentation.
• Support commercial negotiations, RFP responses, client audits, security reviews, penetration-testing requests, vendor-risk processes, disputes, and operational issues.
• Create legal playbooks, training materials, negotiation guidance, and knowledge-base content for legal, sales, and business teams.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• At least 9 years of relevant legal experience advising on enterprise software, SaaS, hosted platforms, technology services, financial technology, banking technology, or commercial technology transactions.
• Experience supporting complex platform products across development, launch, contracting, compliance, security reviews, vendor risk, disputes, and lifecycle management.
• Strong technical fluency with architecture diagrams, data flows, system design, and the legal implications of engineering and platform decisions.
• Experience drafting, negotiating, and maintaining commercial technology agreements and product documentation.
• Experience with security, privacy, third-party risk, subcontracting, audits, service levels, incident response, and operational commitments in client-facing technology products.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting platforms used by banks, credit unions, payment providers, financial institutions, or other regulated clients.
• Familiarity with client security reviews, third-party penetration testing, vendor risk management, APIs, platform integrations, pricing metrics, and pass-through fees.
• Experience creating scalable legal playbooks, annotated negotiation guides, template release plans, and training programs.
