Executive Protection & Corporate Security Training Manager

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; frequent domestic and international travel may be required. The role supports the Chicago office and other locations designated by the Security Team, including security training and protocols for CBI locations in Mexico.

Salary: $96,700–$148,100 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and implement security plans for executives, VIPs, business trips, meetings, public appearances, and events.
• Oversee executive protection operations, security personnel, vendors, and event security services.
• Design and deliver employee security training, drills, simulations, and emergency response programs.
• Assess threats, prepare risk analyses and incident reports, and manage security incidents and emergencies.
• Coordinate with senior leadership, HR, Communications, Legal, law enforcement, consultants, and event hosts.
• Support surveillance, access control, alarm systems, physical security, reporting, and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate security, executive protection, or a related field.
• Experience managing or leading security teams, including executive protection specialists.
• Knowledge of corporate security practices, security systems, emergency protocols, and risk management.
• Strong communication, leadership, discretion, and ability to manage high-pressure situations.
• Valid driver’s license, valid passport, and ability to travel internationally.

Nice to have

• Certified Protection Professional, Executive Protection Specialist, or similar certification.
• Previous law enforcement experience.
