Corporate Security Officer

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona, United States; on-site corporate security role. Second shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; availability for weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage is required.

Salary: $50,000 starting salary plus a 10% shift differential; eligible for overtime. Expected starting salary range: $49,100–$73,700.

What you will do

• Screen and assist visitors, provide information, escort associates, and maintain a customer-facing security presence.
• Patrol buildings and campus areas, enforce security and life safety policies, and respond to alarms, suspicious activity, crimes, and other incidents.
• Monitor and troubleshoot alarms, CCTV, access control, fire, elevator, intercom, and other electronic protection systems.
• Manage facility access systems, identification databases, security databases, reports, and end-of-day facility securing.
• Investigate losses, thefts, unusual incidents, and security breaches; prepare reports, preserve evidence, and support court proceedings when required.
• Respond to workplace violence, fires, medical emergencies, elevator incidents, and other life-safety situations, coordinating with public safety officials as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; a bachelor's or technical school degree is preferred.
• At least one year of related security experience.
• Valid Arizona DPS Guard Card license, unarmed or armed as applicable, must be maintained.
• Knowledge of corporate safety and security practices, equipment, firearm procedures, and console operation; annual firearm qualification may be required for armed assignments.
• Personal computer skills, database and security-system aptitude, strong verbal and written communication, sound judgment, and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to work the assigned second shift, weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage; good physical condition and ability to walk, run, stoop, kneel, carry, and lift are required.
