Avionics Electrical Engineer (Electric Propulsion)

What you will do

• Develop circuit boards for spacecraft electric propulsion systems, including actuator drivers and power converters.
• Perform analysis and simulations of avionics devices and systems.
• Own hardware development from board bring-up and laboratory debugging through qualification and flight operations.
• Define hardware interfaces and verify requirements.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical, manufacturing, propulsion, and test teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in electronic component selection, analysis, simulation, schematics, and PCB layout.
• Knowledge of analog and power circuit design, including ADCs, DACs, op-amps, filtering, and power and signal integrity.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting electronics at the board level.
• Ability to communicate technical challenges, explain design rationale, and resolve concerns.
• Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain a U.S. export license under ITAR/EAR requirements.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience developing spaceflight avionics.
• Experience with Altium Designer.
• Hands-on experience developing power converters, load switches, engine controllers, processors, or other specialized spacecraft or rocket hardware.
• Experience in a startup or agile development environment.
