Senior Industrial Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Waltham Office, United States. Onsite role. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional industrial engineering projects from concept through execution, managing milestones, risks, stakeholder alignment, and delivery.
• Design production concepts, factory layouts, workcenter workflows, and scalable manufacturing systems.
• Develop capacity models, identify bottlenecks, and improve material flow, takt time, line balancing, and workstation layouts.
• Drive standard work, time studies, ergonomics evaluations, Lean initiatives, Kaizen events, Gemba walks, value stream mapping, and 6S.
• Identify automation opportunities involving cobots, vision systems, and AGVs, and lead business case development and implementation.
• Support MES rollout and continuous improvement while establishing production KPIs, dashboards, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• BS or higher in an engineering or technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in a product manufacturing environment, including at least 5 years in industrial or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience implementing efficient production systems and leading cross-functional projects in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• Hands-on experience with MES and ERP systems in production; Tulip and Rootstock are preferred.
• Strong project management, organizational, communication, leadership, and cross-functional influencing skills.
• Eligibility to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Experience with early-stage products, mobile robots, robotics, aerospace, or complex electromechanical systems.
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Experience integrating automation and MES systems to scale production.
