Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Robotics): Developing and scaling manufacturing strategies for AI-powered robotic automation systems with an accent on design for manufacturability, production readiness, and mechanical and electrical systems integration. Focus on FEA and tolerance analysis, component integration, manufacturing process optimization, and reducing defects and warranty costs across external manufacturing partners.
Location: USA remote with up to 25% travel to client and customer locations; a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive or fly are required.
Salary: $101,000–$138,600 per year, plus benefits.

What you will do
- Define and implement manufacturing strategies for robotics and automation systems to improve scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with design engineering on manufacturability and lead the transfer of new products into production.
- Conduct Design for Manufacturability analysis and manufacturing readiness reviews for new product introductions.
- Manage tooling and capital investments supporting manufacturing growth.
- Perform FEA and tolerance analysis to optimize designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Partner with mechanical, electrical, software, controls, manufacturing, quality engineering, and external manufacturing teams to resolve design challenges and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical design foundation with hands-on experience.
- Experience selecting and integrating motors, sensors, actuators, and other system components.
- Experience with machining, welding, electrical manufacturing, casting, sheet metal, and plastics.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in industrial robotics, automation, or material handling.
- Knowledge of PLM systems.
- Experience with design for manufacturing and assembly.
