Backend Engineer (AI Security)

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and backend engineering direction.
• Architect and scale coding-agent pipelines that scan and execute large codebases to identify complex vulnerabilities.
• Design scalable infrastructure for security AI agents and complex agent orchestration.
• Build, maintain, and evolve evaluation benchmarks for AI agents based on real customer problems.
• Contribute to product architecture, performance, reliability, and long-term technical success.

Requirements

• 3+ years of full-time backend software engineering experience.
• Strong programming and problem-solving skills, with experience building reliable and scalable products.
• Experience with or interest in TypeScript and Python; familiarity with multiple programming languages is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Ability to solve complex problems with simple solutions and make sound engineering trade-offs.
• Ability to work on-site in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Temporal, React, NextJS, Postgres, Redis, AWS, and LLM-based systems.
