TL;DR
Specialist, Supplier Management (Automotive): Developing and managing automotive suppliers for electric pickup truck and rugged SUV production with an accent on supplier readiness, quality, delivery, and production milestones. Focus on conducting audits, mitigating supply-chain risks, resolving supplier issues, and coordinating purchasing, engineering, quality, and logistics stakeholders.

Location: Onsite in Novi, Michigan, United States, with 4–5 days of office attendance required and approximately 80% domestic and international travel.

Salary: $90,000–$115,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

hirify.global is developing electrified, digitally enabled pickup trucks and rugged SUVs, including all-electric and range-extender powertrains.

What you will do

  • Evaluate and develop suppliers to ensure production readiness across tooling, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
  • Track supplier milestones from pre-production through mass production, managing communication, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Monitor supplier cost, quality, delivery, readiness, and performance metrics, and report findings to senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Conduct supplier audits covering production requirements, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Identify supply-chain risks, implement corrective action plans, and resolve delays, quality concerns, and supply shortages.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, quality, logistics, and external suppliers to integrate suppliers into production.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in supplier development, procurement, or quality management within the automotive industry.
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, or comparable automotive supplier-readiness tools.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, automotive manufacturing processes, supplier qualification, and readiness programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; at least a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to manage complex projects involving multiple suppliers and stakeholders, supported by strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport required; approximately 80% domestic and international travel is expected.
