Experienced PCIe System Design Engineer (PCIe/NVMe): Designing, integrating, and validating PCIe interfaces within SoCs with an accent on controller and PHY implementation, protocol features, power management, and silicon bring-up. Focus on debugging high-speed connectivity, optimizing NVMe-compatible data paths, and solving complex hardware issues with protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, and AI debug tools.
Location: Kfar Saba, Israel; onsite at the Kfar Saba office

What you will do
- Design and configure PCIe controller and PHY IP within SoC platforms.
- Implement PCIe protocol features, including DOE, IDE, MFND, and SR-IOV.
- Integrate PCIe and PHY IP into the SoC fabric and define control and status registers for hardware-firmware interaction.
- Design power-management mechanisms, including ASPM and L1 Substates, as well as system-level reset sequences.
- Bring up PCIe links on silicon, validate connectivity, and optimize the data path for NVMe compatibility.
- Debug complex hardware issues using AI debug tools, protocol analyzers, and high-speed oscilloscopes.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a System, Design, or Validation Engineer focused on PCIe.
- Deep knowledge of PCIe Gen 4 and Gen 5 standards; Gen 6 experience is a major plus.
- Technical knowledge of NVMe, including queue management and Admin/IO commands.
- Hands-on experience with PCIe protocol analyzers and high-speed oscilloscopes.
- Proficiency in Python or C for test automation and hardware debugging.
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
