Engineer (Golang)

Location: New York, NY; on-site, 5 days per week in the office

Salary: $200,000–$400,000 base salary per year, plus equity and performance-based bonuses

What you will do

• Architect and ship distributed systems operating at significant scale.
• Build event-driven pipelines and high-volume data platforms.
• Develop fast, precise, and reliable infrastructure for financial institutions.
• Lead and execute technical projects spanning backend systems, data infrastructure, and product.
• Work across abstraction levels, from low-level performance optimization to architectural strategy.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership and the wider team in a highly autonomous role.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and systems fundamentals.
• Experience architecting or contributing to scalable distributed systems handling large data volumes.
• Ability to design systems and ship production code independently.
• Experience with or interest in Golang, gRPC, PostgreSQL, Kafka, ClickHouse, and cloud functions such as AWS Lambda.
• Willingness to figure out complex technical problems.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven systems, trading systems, portfolio management, or accounting systems.
