Marketplace Trust and Safety Manager (Ecommerce)

Location: Santa Ana, CA or Jersey City, NJ; onsite, hybrid, or remote candidates considered. Candidates within a one-hour commute of an office must be onsite most of the time. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $110,891–$180,035 per year, with potential eligibility for bonuses, commissions, or other compensation.

What you will do

• Lead the Trust & Safety function for the marketplace and maintain a safe, trusted buyer and seller experience.
• Collaborate with data and business operations teams to design a fraud identification system using common fraud patterns and detection best practices.
• Investigate suspicious activity across marketplace platforms.
• Design and execute enforcement actions with legal, brand protection, and information security teams.
• Create standardized operating procedures and document cases for appeals and legal processes.
• Manage a team of investigation agents as case volume requires.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in marketplace or e-commerce Trust & Safety.
• Experience owning all or part of a Trust & Safety function.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use data to drive decisions.
• Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• United States work authorization is required.
