Expert Security Manager (Business Resiliency and Security Operations)

Location: San Diego, United States; hybrid home/office workplace

Salary: $96,614.00–$141,701.89 annual base pay, plus eligibility for an annual corporate bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and continuously improve the enterprise crisis management framework, including plans, playbooks, governance, activation protocols, executive support, and after-action reviews.
• Develop standardized emergency response capabilities and Emergency Action Plans across sites, advising site leaders and aligning procedures with applicable requirements.
• Oversee physical security programs and third-party security provider performance across office locations.
• Build employee preparedness through awareness content, exercises, training, and guidance on self-aid, personal security, travel safety, and situational awareness.
• Own the Critical Event Management platform, designing dashboards, workflows, data structures, and emergency notification capabilities.
• Analyze operational data, support intelligence, travel and event security, executive protection, workplace violence prevention, investigations, and security compliance initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in emergency management, business administration, homeland security, crisis management, analytics, intelligence, or a related discipline.
• PSP or CPP certification, or equivalent USG/USMIL certification, plus a relevant resiliency or crisis management certification such as CCMC, AEM, CEM, or CBCP.
• At least 5 years of experience in emergency response, emergency management, crisis management, or corporate security within military, government, or large corporate environments.
• Experience building and executing security or safety programs, conducting complex domestic or international security operations, and delivering refined program outputs.
• Experience conducting security or threat assessments, developing emergency and crisis response policies, and advising on safety and security practices.
• Strong report-writing, presentation, relationship-building, and stakeholder communication skills.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
• Military, government, or security experience.
• Strong project management experience and experience presenting security solutions to senior and C-suite leaders.
