Trust & Safety Associate

Location: Hybrid in New York City or London, with office attendance required 3 days per week. Applicants must be eligible to live and work in NYC or London; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $58,000–$70,000 annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Resolve post-sale disputes involving authenticity, damage, and inaccurate descriptions.
• Perform KYC and AML verification for users and investigate suspicious incidents.
• Monitor transactions and auction activity to identify and address potential fraud.
• Handle security incidents, unauthorized activity, suspicious messages, and chargebacks, including evidence collection and submission.
• Follow up with sellers regarding failed or unpaid subscription charges.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop and enforce Trust & Safety policies and initiatives.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in fraud investigation, chargeback resolution, or KYC/AML compliance, ideally in eCommerce or a marketplace.
• Experience with fraud, investigations, or policy compliance.
• Strong time management, prioritization, attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and mediation abilities.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and investigate ambiguous, gray-area situations.
• Eligibility to live and work in New York City or London; visa sponsorship is not available.
