Solution Engineer - Employer Services & HR Tech

Location: Remote, Atlanta, United States; travel up to 25% for client engagements, solution workshops, and industry events.

Salary: $135,000–$165,000 per year, plus incentive compensation of approximately 20%.

What you will do

• Advise direct and indirect sales teams on Unemployment Cost Management and Offboarding applications through technical discovery, product demonstrations, and solution scoping.
• Conduct value engineering and cost-benefit assessments for executive decision-makers, demonstrating ROI and compliance risk mitigation.
• Design Statements of Work and technical requirements for data integrations, API workflows, and system configurations.
• Lead technical responses to RFIs, RFPs, and information security questionnaires, using automated workflows to improve proposal efficiency.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Implementation teams to transfer and execute client requirements after the sale.
• Represent the organization at industry conferences and monitor regulatory trends affecting employer tax and unemployment compliance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Pre-Sales, Solution Engineering, or Technical Sales Consulting within enterprise SaaS or HR technology ecosystems.
• Deep Unemployment Cost Management experience.
• Ability to architect solutions and communicate technical configurations to technical developers and business executives.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of modern cloud architectures, API data exchange standards, and enterprise HCM/payroll platform integrations such as Workday.
• Experience building or using generative AI tools for technical RFP responses, solution design, and pre-sales workflows.
• Experience developing custom value models and business cases for enterprise HR and payroll buyers.
