Solutions Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid, based out of office hubs in San Francisco, New York City, and Salt Lake City; in-person collaboration is required 3 days per week.

Salary: OTE $180,000–$250,000 annually, plus potential equity, commission, and benefits.

What you will do

• Guide strategic customers through technical evaluations and complex integrations, partnering with Account Executives on deal strategy.
• Advise prospects, customers, and partners on hirify.global’s platform, sales tax compliance, API integration practices, and billing workflows.
• Design solutions using pre-built integrations, REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party billing systems such as Stripe and NetSuite.
• Serve as the primary technical contact from presales through implementation and support onboarding teams.
• Gather customer technical feedback and requirements, partnering with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap decisions.
• Improve technical documentation, demo functionality, implementation workflows, and cross-functional processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer.
• Extensive experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and integrations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business executives, non-technical teams, developers, and technical stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, organization, and ability to manage complex customer initiatives.
• Ability to quickly build expertise in new industries and products, including sales tax compliance and billing integrations.
• Experience experimenting with AI and building an AI-enabled application, workflow, or solution that can be demonstrated.
