TL;DR
Power Electronics Engineer, Energy Storage (High-Voltage Power Conversion): Developing next-generation battery energy storage systems and high-power converters interfacing with batteries, photovoltaic systems, and the grid with an accent on converter topology, power-stage components, PCB/PCBA design, thermal analysis, and validation. What you will do

  • Design high-voltage, high-power converters for utility-scale battery energy storage systems and industrial infrastructure.
  • Evaluate converter topologies, power-stage components, MOSFETs, gate drivers, magnetic components, EMI filters, and thermal solutions.
  • Architect low-voltage subsystems covering auxiliary power, sensing, hardware protection, and high-voltage PCB/PCBA layout.
  • Define system requirements, test specifications, verification methods, and mass-production tester requirements.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, controls, systems, compliance, supply chain, manufacturing, and reliability teams.
  • Support product certification, component qualification, dual sourcing, reliability analysis, and hardware iterations.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power electronics.
  • 3–5 years of experience in electrical engineering, power conversion, or energy storage products.
  • Hands-on experience designing hardware up to 1.5kVdc and 480Vac, including power semiconductors, gate drives, protection circuits, and AC/DC or DC/DC topologies.
  • Experience with circuit, FEA, and CAD tools such as Simulink, LTspice, Ansys Maxwell/Q3D, and Altium Designer.
  • Ability to design high-power, noise-sensitive PCBs, use laboratory equipment, and perform rapid hardware prototyping and verification.
  • Knowledge of control theory and embedded systems, strong analytical skills, and experience collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
