Data Collection Operator- AI Robotics (Swing Shift)

Location: Milpitas, California, United States. Onsite work at hirify.global facilities and in public environments. Monday–Friday, 03:00 PM–11:00 PM.

What you will do

• Operate robotic systems through teleoperation and advanced robotic control interfaces.
• Manipulate objects, walk predetermined routes, and follow testing guidelines and protocols.
• Start and stop recording devices and perform minor equipment and software debugging.
• Provide feedback on equipment performance and report observations or issues.
• Analyze, upload, and document collected data in daily reports.
• Maintain equipment in safe working condition and follow safety protocols.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with teleoperation tools such as UMI-style, GELLO-style, and VR-based systems.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and sustained focus in a lab or industrial environment.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Clear written communication, collaboration, and basic proficiency with data upload and reporting software.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and learn new technologies quickly.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotic systems, teleoperation, or related fields.
• Familiarity with the command line, Bash, and Linux.
• Experience annotating video with boxes, masks, keypoints, action labels, or ID tracking.
• Familiarity with annotation tools, pre-annotation review, and correction.
• Knowledge of COCO, YOLO, or MOT/KITTI formats and basic video concepts such as frame rate and codecs.
