TL;DR

What you will do
- Serve as the first point of contact for IT incidents and service requests through Jira Service Management, prioritizing tickets against SLA targets.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, account, and network issues across Windows and macOS endpoints.
- Provision and deprovision accounts, manage MFA and access requests, and administer Okta, Active Directory, Azure AD, Google Workspace, M365, and other SaaS platforms.
- Manage endpoint inventory, hardware refresh cycles, laptop imaging, software deployment, patching, and security baselines using Intune, Jamf, WSUS, and related tools.
- Deliver onboarding and offboarding, including device preparation, account suspension, device recovery, and data preservation.
- Triage first-line alerts from fabrication and production monitoring systems and coordinate escalation with Facilities, IT/Infrastructure, engineers, tool owners, and external vendors.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or technical support.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows and macOS, plus familiarity with Windows Server fundamentals.
- Experience with WSUS, MDT, Jamf, Intune, Active Directory, Okta, Google Workspace, identity management, and enterprise ticketing platforms.
- Working knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, cybersecurity practices, and endpoint protection.
- Ability to image, configure, repair, and troubleshoot laptops, workstations, and basic server hardware independently.
- Clear communication, documentation, customer service, independent work, and effective incident triage skills.
Nice to have
- PowerShell knowledge; Bash or Python experience.
- Experience with scientific or engineering software such as EDA tools, Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or instrument control systems.
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent, and familiarity with inventory tools such as SnipeIT.
- Experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, research, cleanroom, controlled-environment, or quantum computing settings.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or certifications such as CompTIA+, Linux+, Microsoft Azure, or Cisco CCNA.
