IT Engineer

What you will do

• Serve as the first point of contact for IT incidents and service requests through Jira Service Management, prioritizing tickets against SLA targets.
• Diagnose hardware, software, network, account, and access issues across Windows and macOS environments.
• Provision and deprovision accounts across Okta, Active Directory, Azure AD, Google Workspace, M365, and application platforms.
• Manage endpoint deployment and lifecycle operations, including imaging, hardware refreshes, inventory, backups, patching, and device security baselines.
• Run onboarding and offboarding procedures, including account setup or suspension, device recovery, and data preservation.
• Triage first-line Fab/Production monitoring alerts and coordinate IT-related cleanroom equipment issues with internal teams and external vendors.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or technical support.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows and macOS, plus familiarity with Windows Server fundamentals.
• Experience with WSUS, MDT, Jamf, Intune, Active Directory, Okta, Google Workspace, and identity management.
• Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, cybersecurity practices, and endpoint protection.
• Ability to work independently, triage issues, document solutions, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical users.
• On-site work in Fremont, California, is required; some support calls may require entry to controlled cleanroom areas.

Nice to have

• PowerShell, Bash, or Python for administrative automation.
• Experience supporting EDA, scientific, engineering, or instrument-control software such as Cadence, Synopsys, MATLAB, or LabVIEW.
• ITIL Foundation, cleanroom or controlled-environment experience, and ESD awareness.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• CompTIA+, Linux+, Microsoft Azure, or Cisco CCNA certification and experience in research or quantum computing environments.
