Architect / Designer (3D Printing)

What you will do

• Design and develop building projects from concept through construction using hirify.global's concrete 3D-printing technologies.
• Optimize 3D-printed wall systems for comfort, safety, user experience, sustainability, and integration with structural, MEP, and envelope systems.
• Produce construction documents, wall assembly drawings, envelope details, system diagrams, specifications, and code-compliance submittals.
• Coordinate consultant drawings and support field integration of envelope components and building systems.
• Collaborate with software engineers, print technicians, construction operations, materials, robotics, and field teams to translate digital designs into physical buildings.
• Resolve construction challenges and iterate on building systems based on field feedback and lessons learned.

Requirements

• 2–7 years of experience in complex, multidisciplinary design and analysis projects.
• Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Google Suite, Adobe Suite, Enscape, and AI rendering platforms.
• Experience across concept design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and Construction Administration, including RFI and submittal review.
• Working knowledge of IRC, IBC, ADA guidelines, the Fair Housing Act, and concrete design and construction principles.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and construction-documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with 3D printing, robotics, prefabrication, modular construction, or other emerging construction technologies.
• Familiarity with Grasshopper, Dynamo, parametric design, and computational design workflows.
• Experience in research and development, prototype testing, materials research, or novel building systems.
• Experience managing BIM standards, digital workflows, external consultants, structural engineers, sustainability experts, or testing labs.
• Interest in housing innovation, affordability, social impact, and climate resilience.
