Structural Project Engineer

Location: New York, NY — hybrid

Salary: $135,000–$155,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead structural engineering services for projects in the New York City office.
• Perform structural and wind load analyses, including support systems for mechanical equipment in existing buildings.
• Assess structural damage and defects in existing buildings.
• Prepare structural models, calculations, construction drawings, and written specifications.
• Manage projects, staff, and subconsultants, including QWRI, QEWI, civil, and geotechnical engineers.
• Support construction administration through shop drawing and RFI reviews and site inspections.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in structural design and project administration.
• Professional Engineer license in New York is required.
• Experience with rooftop PV and dunnage structural analysis.
• Experience with NYC existing buildings and project management.
• Working knowledge of NYC Building Codes, fundamental engineering principles, and construction administration services.
