Company

hirify.global designs, builds, and operates uranium enrichment services in the United States to support nuclear fuel production and advanced energy infrastructure.

What you will do

  • Support structural systems design and coordination in BIM for industrial and mission-critical facilities.
  • Perform structural analysis and calculations for steel, concrete, foundations, gravity systems, and lateral load-resisting systems under senior engineer guidance.
  • Assist with high-seismic bracing, equipment supports, heavy-loading floor slabs, and other specialized industrial structures.
  • Analyze wind, seismic, and snow loads according to applicable building codes.
  • Develop Revit and AutoCAD models, structural specifications, calculation packages, and construction drawings.
  • Contribute to workflow automation and computational design using Dynamo, Grasshopper, Python, or C#.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis; recent graduates and upcoming graduates are eligible.
  • Strong coursework in finite element analysis, advanced steel design, reinforced concrete design, and structural dynamics.
  • Familiarity with BIM software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of structural analysis tools such as RISA-3D, SAP2000, ETABS, or RAM Structural System.
  • Knowledge of material-specific design standards and physics-based engineering principles.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and collaborate across disciplines; extended hours and weekends may be required.

Nice to have

  • Internship experience at an engineering or AEC firm, particularly in heavy-industrial or high-seismic projects.
  • Familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, ASCE 43, AISC 360, or ACI 318.
  • Exposure to seismic design categories, vibration analysis, blast-resistant design, pre-engineered metal buildings, modular structures, crane runway design, or heavy equipment anchorage.
  • Experience with AI design tools, visual programming, coding, or open-source projects.

Culture & Benefits

  • Mission-driven work focused on making nuclear energy and fuel production more affordable.
  • First-principles engineering approach in a lean team working on large-scale industrial infrastructure.
  • Culture emphasizing urgency, accountability, and transparency.
  • Full-time hires may be eligible for stock options and medical, vision, and dental coverage.
  • Access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
