Salary: $170,000–$230,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead structural design and analysis, including design criteria, detailed calculations, and system analysis.
• Develop and review permit-level structural designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Ensure designs comply with NRC, ASME, ANSI, and applicable local and state codes and standards.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, architectural, electrical, and chemical engineers and external partners.
• Review work from junior engineers, BIM specialists, and contractors; serve as Engineer of Record when required.
• Support construction and commissioning through RFIs, submittals, plan checks, site inspections, and design issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of industry experience.
• Required Professional Engineer (PE) and Structural Engineer (SE) licenses.
• Experience with reinforced concrete, steel structures, and seismic analysis.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.

Nice to have

• Experience with custom structural details, large-scale mission-critical construction projects, and fast-paced technical environments.
• Construction administration experience, including site observation, RFI and submittal review.
• Experience with construction and cost estimating processes and local or state code compliance.
• Knowledge of the California Building Code, ASCE 7, ASCE 41, ACI 318, NDS, AISC, and TMS.
