Senior Design Engineer - Electrical (Data Centres)

What you will do

• Provide electrical engineering expertise for the development and evolution of hyperscale data centre reference designs across APAC.
• Conduct feasibility studies and reviews of emerging electrical technologies for integration into reference products.
• Manage technical documentation, electrical standards, specifications, and alignment with other disciplines and OSE requirements.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, design teams, and other stakeholders to refine electrical offerings and integrate procured equipment.
• Support site selection, masterplanning, value engineering, compliance, and sustainability initiatives for electrical systems.
• Present technical updates, product roadmap developments, research outcomes, and industry learnings to business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 8 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 5 years in data centre or mission-critical environments.
• Experience leading or supporting major data centre projects in a client-side, consultancy, or contractor role.
• Deep expertise in electrical systems and an understanding of multidisciplinary building services design.
• Experience with Building Information Management (BIM) and digital design tools.
• Strong communication, decision-making, accountability, leadership, flexibility, and adaptability skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working for a data centre operator.
• Exposure to hyperscale design and cloud infrastructure in the APAC market.
