Business Risk Analyst Sr

Location: Flexible hybrid schedule; current work authorization in Canada is required. The role is based at 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late 2026, then moves to the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.

Salary: CAD 99,000–129,000 total annual cash compensation, including base salary and target bonus.

What you will do

• Support business units and senior executives in implementing and maintaining operational risk management programs.
• Plan, guide, and review Risk and Control Self-Assessments, including process walkthroughs, risk identification, and mitigation planning.
• Lead control testing by assessing control design and operating effectiveness, documenting results, and recommending remediation.
• Conduct deep-dive risk assessments for high-risk areas and critical functions, identifying root causes, impacts, and improvement opportunities.
• Consolidate risk information, analyze trends, and report issues, KPIs, findings, and action plans to senior management and second-line risk.
• Develop risk-management training and promote risk-aware practices, escalation, and investigation requirements across assigned business units.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant risk or operational risk experience.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and analyzing business processes.
• Proficiency in data analytics techniques and relevant data analysis experience.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-management, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and influence senior stakeholders.
• University degree or equivalent work experience; current authorization to work in Canada is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with IT or audit risk.
• Experience in the financial services industry.
