Senior Associate, Fund Accounting

Location: Hybrid in Mississauga, Ontario or Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Candidates must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and may need to provide a valid work or study permit.

Salary: CAD 44,000–80,000 per year.

What you will do

• Reconcile cash and holdings across core systems, custodians, prime brokers, and investment managers.
• Perform investment accounting, including trade entry and securities and holdings data maintenance.
• Calculate full NAV, including income and expense accruals, and process investor subscriptions and redemptions.
• Upload price files, analyze variances using Bloomberg terminals, and produce daily and monthly client reports.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, support audits, and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage client and counterparty queries, support new-client implementations and special projects, and perform system release testing.

Requirements

• Post-secondary degree required; Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 2–3 years of fund accounting experience, including mutual fund or investment accounting experience; hedge fund experience preferred.
• Thorough understanding of exchange-traded products, derivatives, and OTC products.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
• Exposure to financial statements and notes is an asset.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada is required.
