Accounting Manager

Location: New York, United States; onsite at the Flatiron NYC headquarters Monday–Friday

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Own key areas of the monthly close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses.
• Manage accounting for cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, leases, equity, accrued liabilities, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Partner with Revenue Operations on billing and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Support the annual financial statement audit, technical accounting initiatives, and adoption of new accounting standards.
• Refine accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve finance workflows.
• Optimize finance systems including NetSuite, Ramp, Anrok, and Excel.

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting and/or experience at a high-growth technology company.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and the month-end close process.
• Experience supporting audits and partnering with external auditors.
• Strong judgment, attention to detail, independence, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work onsite in New York Monday–Friday.

Nice to have

• Experience with SaaS and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Familiarity with equity, leases, or stock-based compensation.
• Experience with NetSuite, Ramp, Anrok, and modern finance systems.
• Strong Excel skills and experience improving accounting processes through automation or system implementations.
