Senior Accounting Manager

Location: Torrance, California, United States. Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations under ITAR regulations.

Salary: $75,000–$155,000 per year, plus equity, potential performance bonuses, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead general ledger, month-end close, cost accounting, and accurate financial reporting under US GAAP.
• Support the Controller in developing company-wide financial controls, accounting policies, and compliance processes.
• Configure and maintain the ERP accounting system, improve workflows, and protect data integrity.
• Coordinate external audit and tax compliance workpapers while collaborating with international bookkeepers.
• Manage accounts payable, procurement operations, customer invoicing, collections, revenue management, and cash forecasting.
• Partner with production, supply chain, engineering, finance, business development, and legal teams on cost reduction, contracts, forecasting, and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive professional corporate accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, multi-entity reporting, ASC 606, and internal controls across domestic and international operations.
• Experience in an inventory-driven hardware or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with NetSuite or a comparable ERP financial system.
• Eligibility to work on U.S. government-regulated space technology subject to ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

• Active CPA or CMA designation.
• Accounting experience in aerospace, satellite, telecommunications, or defense industries.
• SQL or advanced data analysis experience for procurement, inventory, or billing reports.
• Experience building and mentoring a lean accounting team during rapid growth.
