Focus on designing reliable electronics across the full PCB lifecycle, coordinating functional-safety validation and certification, and guiding electronics safety practices across R&D.

Location: Based at the headquarters in Vindafjord (Nedre Vats), Norway; candidates across Europe must be open to relocating to Norway.

What you will do

  • Design and develop safety electronics from architecture and schematics through PCB design, validation, and production release.
  • Develop safety logic and redundancy solutions for a new safety controller.
  • Apply electronics safety and wireless communication expertise across the hirify.global product portfolio.
  • Coordinate technical activities across engineering disciplines and collaborate with external certification partners.
  • Plan technical deliverables, documentation, and milestones.
  • Guide less experienced engineers and help establish electronics safety competence across R&D.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of electronics engineering experience, including wireless communication and safety electronics.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Embedded Systems, Cybernetics, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with the full PCB development cycle, including architecture, schematics, layout, bring-up, validation, production release, and EMC-aware design.
  • Experience with functional safety and compliance for industrial products, ideally IEC 61508, ISO 13849, or IEC 62061.
  • Experience with analog and digital design, simulation, testing, Altium, LTSpice, STM32 microcontrollers, and cable harness design.
  • Willingness to relocate to Norway is required for candidates applying from across Europe.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of DFM/DFT, high-volume production, or embedded hardware cybersecurity.
