Experienced Field Application Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Engage with customers to understand technical needs for semiconductor IC product development.
• Assess the competitive landscape and advocate winning hirify.global value propositions.
• Create application-specific presentations with account managers, product marketing, and technical experts.
• Combine technical and commercial requirements into design-winning proposals.
• Identify and resolve issues and concerns to convert design wins into production-ready designs for fab tapeout.
• Advocate internally for improved hirify.global features and capabilities where competitive gaps exist.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent field, such as applied physics.
• At least 15 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including design and/or process experience.
• Working knowledge of IC chip design flows and tools from architectural definition through performance characterization.
• Technical program management, active thinking, a positive attitude, problem-solving, ownership, teamwork, and personal communication skills.
• Availability to travel up to 20%, primarily within Europe, with some intercontinental travel.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in electrical engineering or an equivalent field.
• Five years of semiconductor product design experience at chip or module level.
• Experience in the IoT segment, particularly ultra-low-power applications.
• Direct experience with IC chip design flows and EDA tools from architectural definition through performance characterization.
• Experience with digital, analog mixed-signal, HV power, eNVM, millimetre-wave, or silicon photonics IC product design.
• SoC product integration or design experience.
• Project management skills, including innovating and executing solutions and navigating ambiguity.
• Strong written and verbal communication, planning, and organizational skills.
